SETUP INFORMATION

This is a quick-start -- complete documentation can be found in the file
Postmortem Toolkit.doc.

In order to use the add-in, you must register ApexCGI VB Add-In.dll with
Windows. The file Reg.bat will do that for you but you might need to
edit the path to regsvr32.exe. There is also an Unreg.bat should you
feel the need to unregister the DLL.

After registering the DLL, the add-in should appear in VB's Tools menu
the next time you load VB. If it is not there, load it with the VB
Add-In manager.

The included VB source files should be kept in the same folder as the DLL.

There are three demo test programs included with this download. One is a
regular Windows application, another is a multitier application and the
other is an ActiveX DLL for use with Active Server Pages.

To run the test programs in VB, start the add-in and click the "Add Code
Modules to Project" button. Then click the "Add Line Numbers" button.
Now you can run the tests.

The mutitier example also includes compiled versions of the programs.
The second and third tier programs are out-of-process servers and must be
registered before you can use them in the test. They can be registered
simply by running them, which causes them to register themselves and to
then unload.

To run the ASP example, you need IIS and must register ASPErrorTest.dll
using regsvr32.
